Mike spent his first two decades in the trade on cars, trucks, and electrical work — the kind of jobs where a wrong diagnosis means a customer stranded on the side of the road or worse. That training carried over directly when he started taking appliance calls: same wiring patterns, same motors, same need to actually know what failed before you order a part. He opened Mike's Repair Shop in 2022 with one rule: tell people the truth.
Today Mike's Repair Shop serves 11 cities across Spokane County and North Idaho. We've done 1,200+ repairs since opening, and the same phone number (509) 294-6297 still rings in Mike's pocket. No dispatcher. No upsell scripts. If your fridge isn't worth fixing, we'll tell you. If it is, we'll quote it up front and fix it the same week — usually the same day.

How quickly can you come out?
Most appointments are scheduled within 24 hours, and we offer same-day service for urgent repairs when the schedule allows. Call early in the day for the best chance at a same-day slot.
What brands do you service?
Every major brand — Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, KitchenAid, Maytag, Kenmore, GE, Bosch, Frigidaire, Sub-Zero, Viking, Wolf, Thermador, Miele, and many more.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes — 30 days on parts and labor. If the same issue recurs within the warranty window, we come back at no charge.
Are parts kept in your van?
We stock the most common parts (belts, igniters, switches, motors, control boards for popular models). Anything we don’t have, we order next-day from our distributor network.
Should I repair or replace?
Rule of thumb: if the appliance is under 10 years old and the part isn’t catastrophic, repair is usually the smart call. We’ll always give you our honest read on the spot.
Do you service commercial laundry?
Yes — Speed Queen, Maytag commercial, Huebsch, and similar. We work with laundromats, hotels, and gyms across Spokane.
