Terms & Conditions

Last updated: November 2025

By using this website, scheduling a repair, or hiring Mike’s Repair Shop, you agree to these terms. We’ve kept them short and human β€” read through once.

Scope of service

We perform appliance repair and related work on residential and small-commercial customer-owned units in Spokane County (WA) and selected nearby Idaho cities. We may decline to work on units we’re not equipped or licensed to service.

Quotes & pricing

We quote a price before we begin any repair. Quotes are valid for 7 days and assume the diagnosis stands once we’ve opened the unit. If something unexpected turns up mid-job, we stop and get your approval before continuing.

Diagnostic / trip fee

We charge a flat diagnostic / trip fee per visit. If you authorize the repair the same day, the fee is applied against the repair total. If you decide not to proceed, the fee is what you owe. We tell you the fee on the phone before we head out.

Warranty

30 days on parts and labor, starting the day we complete the repair. If the same fault recurs within the window, we come back at no charge. Warranty doesn’t cover: a different failure on the same appliance, customer-caused damage, or appliances that were already on their last legs and need full replacement.

Payment

Payment is due when the repair is complete. We accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Card payments include a small processor fee. Commercial accounts may invoice with prior arrangement.

Cancellations

No cancellation fee if you let us know before the tech is dispatched. Just call or text. We schedule by daily route β€” last-minute cancellations help us help the next customer.

Limit of liability

Our liability for any claim arising out of services performed is limited to the amount you paid us for that specific repair. We carry liability insurance and will resolve genuine damage caused by our work β€” but we won’t be on the hook for indirect or consequential losses (e.g., spoiled food, lost rental income).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Disputes will be handled in Spokane County courts.
